available to adoptRuby is a sweet 1.5 year old Lurcher who has had a really rough start.
She’s only a baby but sadly had to have her right, front leg amputated after she was hit by a car. She copes very well as a “tripod dog”.
In recent times she’s had very litte exercise and can find things in the outside world a little overwhelming so will need a calm, patient approach to help her learn to love walks again.
Saying that she is absolutely LOVING her time at the secure dog-field with canine pals, its boosting her confidence no end!
Ruby is a small, petoe Lurcher – just 20 inches high and 17 inches long.
She’s friendly and affectionate and loves a cuddle once she’s got to know youShe has lived with other dogs and as she’s a bit of a worry-wart living with a calm confident dog could be good for her
Cats unknownGood with kids – has lived with children aged 7 up but we think a quieter, calmer home may suit her best.
She needs work on her toilet training but is improving every dayShe doesn’t like being left so needs someone around a lot and willing to help her with this. Again, another calm, confident dog may assisit with this.She needs a secure garden as being a timid lass, there is the risk she might panic and bolt if startled.
Her recall will also need some work!
