Aireworth Dogs in Need is a foster-based dog rescue founded in 2014 and covering the area in and around Keighley, West Yorkshire.

The rescue is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, all committed to creating happy endings for dogs in need.

The rescue is managed by a small team of trustees, supported by an amazing committee and a dedicated team of volunteers. Everyone involved, from our Treasurer to our Vet Coordinator to our Home Checkers, are volunteers, each one of them giving up their spare time to support our charity and get the best outcomes for the dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, this means we don’t have kennels or a centre. All our dogs are in in foster homes with individuals and families who care for dogs on a temporary basis until they find their forever home. We always need more fosterers and details of what is involved can be found HERE.

We work as a team and have clear processes and procedures to ensure the safety and best outcomes for the dogs in our care. Our ultimate aim is to match dogs with the right forever home and undertake thorough checks to ensure this. Each dog and home are considered on an individual basis. More details on this can be found in our FAQ section.

dogs for families

In addition to the trustees, committee and volunteers we work in partnership with a range of professionals such as vets, behaviourists, trainers and canine physiotherapists to ensure the dogs have the input they need and deserve. This can be expensive and details of how you can support our fundraising can be found HERE.

Dogs come into ADIN for a variety of reasons (owners who are ill or have passed away, marriage breakdowns, finance and housing issues, dog behaviour issues and some that are simply abandoned and unclaimed) but whatever the reason we believe that every dog deserves a forever home where it can be happy and bring happiness.

The rescue is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, all committed to creating happy endings for dogs in need.

Since our launch in 2014 we have been involved in the care, support and rehoming of over 850 dogs, not bad for a team of volunteers! We treat every dog as the unique individual they are. We are not breed-specific and are proud of our track-record with rehoming breeds some other rescues may be reluctant to take. We don’t discriminate on age and take in elderly dogs and those with medical and health needs who may be seen as “hard to place”.

We are proud to be members of the ACDH (Association of Dogs and Cats Homes) having evidenced we meet their welfare and operational standards.
