Gus is a 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier who needed a new home due to a change in family circumstances meaning he was being left for long periods.

He is a very loving, affectionate and playful little chap. He has settled well into his foster home where he has been for a few months and he is now fully vaccinated and neutered and ready to find his forever home.

Has lived with young children previously and has been very good with his fosterers grandchildren, he can live with children over age 7

Has also lived with cats and is fine with them

Gus is used to being an only dog, could possibly live with another small dog subject to successful introductions

Travels well in the car or van

Dose like to sleep with his human on their bed.

Housetrained- only very occasional accidents

He walks well on a lead, can bark at some dogs as he wants to get them to play.

Needs a secure garden as he can escape through small gaps

Gus is a big character in a little dog! He loves to play, he will do his characteristic ‘meerkat’ pose to ask you to play with him or take him for a walk. He will have a good run around on a walk and then snuggle up with you on the sofa. He can be left for short periods. He does bark sometimes when he hears a noise he doesn’t recognise or sees someone pass by the house. He is friendly with dogs when he is comfortable with them, he can bark at some when he’s on the lead so this needs controlling. He needs gentle guidance as he can get a bit nervous if people raise their voice. He will make a wonderful family pet.
